GIS / RS Executive - Genting Plantations Berhad

Genting Plantations Berhad is a leading public listed company with interests in plantation, property development and biotechnology. We are currently looking for suitably qualified candidates for the following positions :

GIS / RS Executive

Base:
Plantation (Based in Sabah)

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a young team of GIS and RS section in Sabah.
- Set up GIS / RS database for estates in WM and Sabah.
- Conduct R&D trials and evaluate potential UAV, GIS and RS applications for oil palm plantation include thematic maps for management review and monitoring.
- Provide technical support for Land Development Team on land projects such as desktop study, land cover inventory and terrain analysis.
- Conduct training and transfer of technology on GIS / RS applications to estates.

Requirements:
- Degree in Geomatics / Remote Sensing /GIS / Geography.
- Master level candidates are also welcomed.
- Good writing skills and communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Very proficient in GIS/RS softwares e.g. MapInfo, ArcGIS, Global Mapper, ERDAS, AgiScan.
- Preferably with 2-3 years working experience, willing to be based in the estates environment and travel extensively to estates within the group.
- Fresh graduates with excellent results (CGPA > 3.50) are encouraged to apply.
